Don't Kiss Me [Ukulele Original] [Kiss Me Contest]

This was a song For Fun and Laughs. I have always wanted to write a song about mono. I am a ham. Adelle's contest was perfect. I feel that mono isn't very pleased with all the attention going to swine flue lately, and as one of the longest running teenage sicknesses (and jokes), I feel mono deserves a song. If swine flu gets too jealous I'll write one for her too. (Why do I make diseases female? Pronoun fail.)

Intention: Be a librarian with a moral. I had no glasses. Switch to teenager who gets mono. Had no one to kiss. I failed. But I still had fun. :D

The "Don't Kiss Me" chorus is a parody of Sixpence None the Richer's song "Kiss Me." It's the first song that came to mind when I saw the contest video but knew I would never every play it so I did it my way, with humour and less skill. ;)

I don't think I have any Miley Cyrus fans that watch me, but if I do, I apologise. I can't help using popular celebrities when they rhyme so well with virus! :D If it offends you greatly, feel free to use my name for another line if you need to write a song about Peewee. Although I think that would more delight me than offend me, but still, go for it!

Oh we totally know mono is an overachiever. She sets off on her task and she does it well! Kissing disease. She has some serious skills, and she's dogged in her pursuit of new teenagers to infect!
