The Gift of Spiritual Discernment

In 1 Corinthians 12 Paul teaches that to some is given the gift of "discerning of Spirits" (v. 10). God has given the gift of Spiritual Discernment precisely because not all of us have it! The church would do well to study carefully how the gift of spiritual discernment may be implemented in our "don't-tell-me-what-to-do culture."

Well...it depends on what you mean by "prophet." Prophets are not necessarily future-tellers. One of their primary functions is to bring God's word to bear on the lives of the people in a clear and powerful way.

I believe that the Bible is clear enough for a sincere seeker to discern what is necessary to believe in Christ and receive eternal life. However God gives different levels of discernment to all of us and we have to be responsible with what we have. What's your take on this?

@Darrielm Actually you didnt list any of the biblical requirements. Why dont you try posting the chapter and verse markings from the bible to atleast show you are basing your opinion on what God says and not on what your belly says, or is your belly your god.

@AlYassou3Rabbi A prophet is someone who hates evil, always corrects evil, challenges authority with scripture, they tend to careless about what you think because they are bold in Gods word... not always future telling

very good video man. I have found that discernment and discernment of spirits is also found in wisdom and knowledge. The gifts might not be given in succession of each other but yes I have offended many. Before the Lord I was absolutely destroyed for lack of knowledge and God has given to me those things that I didnt have. His gifts also serve as a covering and protection for me against those who took advantage of me before. good vid-JESUS IS LORD!

Spiritual discernmant. That would mean that you are a prophet right, and that you can discern scipture?
