The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra (San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Trailer)

The trailer for the much-awaited spin-off sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender. This video was shown on 23 July 2011 at the San Diego Comic-Con event. The story takes place 70 years after the time of Avatar Aang and revolves around a spunky 16-year-old Avatar-in-training waterbender named Korra. The setting is mainly on a steampunk-inspired metropolis named United Republic, which was founded by Aang and Zuko as a place of dwelling for different cultures. The city, however, is also home to anti-bending revolutionists of chi-blockers who call themselves "Equalists".

Together with an army of metalbenders (headed by Toph's daughter) that police the city and two bending brothers -- Mako and Bolin -- Korra engages the menacing fanatics while she learns airbending to embrace her destiny as the Avatar.

The show was supposed to premiere in November 2011, but eventually pushed back to 2012. It has 26 planned episodes split in two seasons: the first having 12 and the second having the last 14.

Color me skeptical; but don't be surprised if Korra's beaten in ratings - for a few weeks - by Young Justice, Thundercats - and possibly, the upcoming TRON series.

@worldends08 Who cares if it's beaten in ratings. They won't make it any less awesome. The first Avatar gathered quite a huge fanbase during its lifetime. I'm sure they'll be waiting for this one as I am.

@villagewhore911 Well, both netbooks are quite expensive and nearing the price of a decent gaming laptop. That said, why don't you save a bit more and get a Core i3 laptop with nVIDIA 310m graphics card. It'll be a lot more satisfying if you're serious about gaming.
