  • You will only understand this if you've visited China without a former bias. China is developing quickly and without much regard for environmental concern, but at the moment they simply cannot help it. There are just too many people coming too fast. Urbanization is necessary. We should all support this eco-city project, it may be small compared to the rest of China, but it's a HUGE leap for what China aims to do in the future.

  • Also, China DOES have standards - but you must always keep in perspective of the 1.3 billion people residing here will obviously give off greater statistics. Most cars created in America don't pass the standards in China as they eat too much gas; while the cars in China are made more efficient mileage wise. Now if AMERICA had signed the Kyoto Protocol, standards for the cars there would be much higher and more efficient.

  • wooo geography gcse

  • the reporter's name was david shizam xD and toemaatos haha this guy is gold

  • I like how the voice for the farmer sounds dumb as hell

  • REACT

    Pen is position opinion

  • I like the proposal but something might change if it already built. Compare with the video, I really prefer to create a farmland than creating an eco-friendly city that someday we don't know can become a city of disaster. It's too complicated to create a city like this because on of the problems of the city is garbage disposal. We dont know if the people living there might violate the eco-friendly rule.

  • hm but this types of habitation has been proposed for other areas on the Earth as well. One of them outside san fransisco and one somewhere on the saudi arabian peninsula i think.

  • Even if it only houses .5 million people it's going to be a huge step forward. Everything begins in baby steps after all. Just the fact that they are developing these cities is a huge step forward. The government is recognizing environmental concerns and I sincerely hope they wetlands will not be harmed.

  • good points OhTheThingsYoudo! well said.

  • in the future (near future 40-60 years) china will be a superpower at the rate they are growing, i know they one of the bigs already but they are gonna be a force that much can be said. so please applaud this for china like OhTheThingsYouDo said. this is a HUGE step in a little way. it is a little harder for them considering the amount of population they have.
