@Beakasaurus if you need more "wiggle" room you should check out a fender deluxe reverb. Similar in tone but with more headroom. The main difference is the deluxe reverb has more wattage

@EdgeofGreen The Production Number on Fender tube charts doesn't indicate the order of manufacture of that particular AMP - it indicates which run of a group of amps that was made during that year. Production Number 1 may actually be on thousands of amps. It'd be really tough to identify the exact first amp that was made in any given year.

Thanks for your post. This is what I have been thinking of when looking for a mostly clean, classic, low volume sound for my blues-jazz solo stuff. My Mesa F-30 is awesome but is hard to hold back - it wants to go high gain quickly. I need more clean wiggle room and the Princeton could be the answer.

the NV has more head room and sounds better than the reverb model,, I like them with a tube screamer..

I was just playing my uncles 1965 pinseton, his was the first one made in 1965, the production number is 1
50-60-silverface,,,,,,considering princeton......... home record.ing...pls reply thanx peace
