It's actually good to give gerbils, hamsters, bunnies, etc baths. It helps clean there fur from dust and dirt. Don't bathe them to often though, I suggest every few months or so. Have questions then ask me!

  • you aren't supposed to bath gerbils too often unless there's a reason like one is wounded/bleeding etc they're dessert rodents and keep themselves clean. If you watch your gerbil is trying to escape, they can get really frightened when doing this and will try everything to get out of the water. If you want to bath them provide them with a tub of sand.

  • @G3n3starwindVTS I know, I know. Chill out, I know what I'm doing.

  • u dont want to get water near there ears

  • i know this has been said to you a thousand times before but my gerbil died after I gave her a bath. So, please don't bathe your gerbil. I mean, I myself was stupid back then, but now I have TWO gerbils instead of one, they live in a tank instead of a cage, and they have a sandbath whenever I feel they need one. And they get lots of exercise. :)

  • this is what I call animal abuse

  • Watching this made me cringe! You should really try a sandbath for your gerbil, it's much better for them and kinder to their skin. They stay pretty clean on their own to be honest so there's really no need to bath them with shampoo. You need to be very careful as gerbils can go into shock when put in water and they should be dryed immediately to warm them up. Give the sandbath a go, it's so much easier and better for your little furry.

  • i feel sooo bad for the little gerbil!!!!!!

  • Did the shampoo have a picture of a gerbil on it...NO, did it say for gerbils...NO then dont use it. Your thinking of yourself having fun more than the animals health.

  • @BonBon1216 fvck u dont no what yr doing that can kill them u fool, theyre suppossed to have dust on them its good for them i nearly killed my gerbil by doing this cuz he caught a cold lok at all your dislikes, i wouldnt be supprised if yr gerbil was dead right now

  • That's bad handling. Ur hand actions make the gerbil nervous. Ur darting ur hands this way and that, drawing ur hand away quick and that's scaring the poor thing! Instant dislike without watching the whole video.

  • you need to try a sand bath ok ?

  • Your gerbil obviously does not like this. Most gerbils do not like water plus it is much better to give them a sand bath as everyone is saying. Also, just noticing this at the beginning but you need to do a little more work with your gerbil, as he/she runs away from your hand. They sometimes will but I know if I put my hand near my gerbil or leave the cage open by me, they investigate, run up onto my shoulder and are very social. I don't think she trusts you much, and the bath isn't helping.

  • Your gerbil is probably dead.... judging by the way you take care of it in this video.
