@Trainman11185 idk if it was dual tone but there was that old one in between the radio tower and Orting it was a wooden pole with a yellow siren thing but they changed it

Sorry pivotfight3r - those drills aren't going away anytime soon. But now that they have them, the kids in town know what to do, even if their parents don't!

The drill is to allow people to hear what the sirens sound like, and to give the kids at the school the chance to walk the evacuation route, about a mile away from the school. And they can get a time estimate of the route. If Mt Rainier should erupt or have a flank collapse, Orting will have about 40 mins to evacuate before a lahar hits town.
