  • @365degrees replying again due to character limits, lol.

i figured i would message you because of character limits, but we have to be friends, so i sent a request.

how many oldsmobiles do you own rite now?

whats been your favorite of the bunch?

whats your dream olds? (mine is the 66' 442)

oh yeah, we have the original maintenance log book, sales receipt, spare tire, road maps from 65', and brochure.

  • @365degrees it does have the vanity mirror and the tissue holder, all though, one side holds tissues, and pops out, and its easy to use, the other side doesn't pop out so you cant put tissues in it, i am guessing it was for cigarets because that was more common back then, and its about the rite size (i don't smoke, so i cant see for sure.) it is rated at 370HP (all though everyone says they are rated at 350-400) and 410TQ, i have been told and read its more like 420HP.

  • @smithkid1996 I do appreciate a good Oldsmobile.I owned 8. The 65 you have will blow the doors off many cars. With the ultra high compression and torque with 375 horse power--what else could I say? Does yours have the wooden vanity mirror and tissue holders across the back of the entire front seat. It was that 98 that made me an Olds man. 2 delta's(70-80), 3 cutlass(71-76-79),2 toronados trofeo-(87-90),98 Regency(76). The 70 delta had the 455, could hit 100mph with ease. 71 cutty was the "S"

  • @365degrees we have a 1965 olds 98, it has 65k ORIGINAL miles, "ultra high compression" super rocket (custom order), 3 speed hydro matic (custom order), and a 10 bolt posi (custom order.) it also has factory working AC, and that alone was a $630 option. its actually really fast. we out ran a 2010 mustang 5.0L just racing from light to light. we are actually trying to figure out how rare it is, we are pretty sure its one of one, but waiting for confirmation. i just thought you might like that.

  • The "Glory Days" of America ... Long gone ... Makes me sad! : (

  • Suomessa minulla samanlainen...

  • I believe that's the late Andrew Duggan the character actor doing this voice over. He played in many TV shows over the years and was quite good.

  • No. Buick developed a new V8 released for 1967 that was 430 cubic inches. They also made a 400-cubic inch version for LeSabres, Sport Wagons and Skylark GSs. The 430s came in the Electra, Wildcat and Riviera. The Buick 425 was the last development of the old Nailhead engine, and was as big as they could make it without causing cooling problems. The 425s were in Electras and Rivieras, as well as Wildcats.

  • I've always thought the mid 60s Buick Electra's, Olds 98's and Pontiac Bonneville's were classier looking than the mid 60s Cadillacs myself, wasn't the Olds 425 motor also used on the mid 60s Buicks?

  • If you owned one of these Luxury cars and can say "They ain't all that" I would say you owned one after the life was gone in it. These cars were second to none and if taken care of you could get 300,000 out of the 425 rocket 4bbl engine. But the ride itself along with the responsiveness also was second to none. And back in them days you could tell the sound of the Olds from any other car.
