My Dojo Loach

A frisky loach swimming around in the fish tank after feeding.

The fish has passed away a while ago...sadly.

I honestly have no idea how my loach died. I moved out and wasn't finished moving out rest of my stuff. The ex roommate said the loach died. According to some of the comments below, its possible there was foul play involved.

Couple of questions dude.

1, Can dojos be tankmates with cory cats?

&

2, Do dojos eat algae tablets? Or are sinking pellets better?

I do not know if cory cats and dojo can get along, good question.

They can eat almost anything, they are bottom feeders so they like to eat tablets, fish flakes, etc. I feed them tropical fish flakes and they go on the top to try grab some, sometime they eat it on the bottom of the tank, too.

i have a loach like that but it doesnt eat, what should i feed it?

Does your loach look healthy, no signs of sickness? If not, they usually eat flakes, bottom feeder pellets and a few other fish food. I've been having this loach for more than 2 years now.

i gave it blood worms, tetra min flakes, and a 10 gallon tank and now its doing fine

The only way for loaches to die is if you pour bleach in the tank or if you leave them out of water for like 2 or 3 days. They are strong as hell

i have 7 loaches and i havent lost a single 1 yet but i lost a few fish those things r easy as hell to take care of n there awsome looking!
