  • @SteamyLime Tolkien the man might not be immortal, but his work is immortal.

  • @IcechickenSr I guess ultimatly what I'm trying to express is just how much depth was in tolkens work both functionaly, and theoretical in his thought and design process. I am not a huge book reader however, so stating that he must be one of the few writers with such amazing works and skills would be ignorrant of me. I am just in shock and awe when I explore all the "making of" so to speak of this book set. Simply in love with tolkens work. Thanks. IC

  • this was a brillliant interview thank you for posting this! It realy made me think just how involved tolken was in his work. And Just how much work and effort his super complex story line, language, culture, fonts, back story, and just everything one could think of that had to be worked out by him to finish the Sims. It really took me when he said how large of a task it was for his father, and that he was just to tired, or not enough energy left to deal with it properly. Simply amazing. Cheers, IC

  • @anonwoohoo Same here. My interests and career direction have changed over the years, but I always come back to read and think about the Silmarillion. Tolkien himself had a very eventful life and he experienced a lot of things most people have not experienced. I think this contributed to not only the creative but emotional depth of his works.

  • I just can't get enough Tolkien. I always come back to him. I will read real history books, science fiction books, ancient myths and modern literature but I just keep coming back to Tolkien. His stories seem more real than any other story in any other genre I have ever read. It is amazing that there is a complete story to be heard, but it would take nearly a lifetime to hear and understand the entire thing. There is also much more to the story that Tolkien didn't have time to tell.

  • A page dedicated to Feanor is at facebook.com/ FeanorOfficial if you wanted to check it out!!

  • I sure wish Tolkien was immortal!

  • @CroissantOrange You sure can fucking write! Ha epic man =)

  • Very good upload.

  • Great book. Tolkien's contemporaries had their heads so deep in their poop chute to even understand, let alone criticize it. Some guy, you know the kind of stupid fuck who try to read the encyclopedia and complain why there's no plot, even went on to call Tolkien can't fucking write! And whoever the cigar chomping pig let this animal express its thoughts about work of men, I hope these two catch AIDS and die during their cultural poisoning orgies for the sake of humanity.
