@101Meeko101 Nope, sure didn't. But it worked just like making the southern version of the same dish in America, sans it being a dessert, so it all worked out fine.

its a red bean stew so the rock salt is rock sugar and the white stuff is water chestnuts

I can't understand anything that's being said, but I know enough about cooking that I'm pretty sure I get what he's saying just from watching him.
I love that no pork is being used to make this, and orange zest, I would have never thought about adding orange zest! I will be trying that and the....well I'm assuming it's rock salt....
