A large student contingent of around 200-220 people met on the top of Bascom Hill for some speeches from various antiwar groups on campus, in preparation to march to the Engineering Center to protest Halliburton's "right" to be allowed access to students. As a criminal organization, under investigation by the Feds - we say, Hell No to Halliburton!

  • You're in wisconsin, what a joke. At least in San Francisco the lefties torch buildings from time to time. After this "protest" you all went back to your frats and your care packages from grandma. Pussies.

  • cute counter-protest. At least in Madison the right-wing idiots wear less Birkenstocks.

    thanks for posting, now...shoo.

  • Despite having been against the war from the get-go, I couldn't quite get behind this protest (and even had an editorial about it printed out that week in the Badger Herald).

I wonder if any of the protestors realized that they had a bigger impact on the small construction firm whose table was right next to Halliburton's. Thanks to the protestors, this small firm wasn't able to talk to nearly as many students as they would have liked. Way to step on the little guy, CAN!
