The title of this video is absolutely misleading. The poet is NOT saying "I'm sorry that I'm a Christian," he is saying "I'm a Christian and I'm sorry for the things people have done in the name of Christianity." The title of the video should be verbatim what the poet said: "I am a Christian -- I'm sorry."

The misleading title is probably what lies behind some of the negative comments seen here.

I love it! From start to finish...

People, swearing isn't condemned in the bible. Taking the Lord's name in vain is. There's a big difference. I mean, we shouldn't throw around swear words because society has deemed them as inappropriate. "Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause him to fall."

But perhaps our sensitivity to harsh language is similar to the laws the Pharisees created way back then. Are we like them?

bashing christianity? I agree with him about the charicteristics of a lot of catholics. See christians are the less strict, more accepting kind of catholics. We are the people that say we belive in Jesus Christ and we accept other "Different people" and we want to be able to love God without discriminating other people. And newsflash, not all christians belive being gay is wrong. And you know what? If it were to be a "Sin" it doesnt matter because i belive one Sin is any better than the other.

@brentduanefoster I don't perpetuate any kind of hatred. This isn't the truth. It's pushing dirty stereotypes upon a massive group of people for a reaction. It's like saying you don't like someone so that the kids who say they don't like him will accept you. And yes. I'm upset. It makes me sad when I have to tell my friends that I think the crusades were wrong and that I don't hate gay people. It makes me sad that people assume I'm evil.

Just a reminder here: he's painted a picture of the American christian; not the rest of the church who walk the walk, but have to whisper the talk for fear of having thier villages burned down or being burried up to thier necks as a bunch of men try and force them to recite the Shahada. We americans have it easy, which is why we fail so often......but i agree with him on the crusades.

Yes as Christians we mess up. We are not perfect in any way. You see we are saved by grace witch means no matter what we do ( right or wrong ) we can't earn or lose grace. You see it is freely given to us.

So with that said I would like to encourage everyone to control the only thing you can control. YOUR ATTITUDE! Attitude controls altitude.
