Devon's P.O.V. (cont'd)
"What's up with you not talking to me for years and then randomly showing up again? Are you stalking me?" Joe asked her slightly annoyed.
"Just wanted to say congratulations," Erin said and I rolled my eyes.
"Well you could have called or e-mailed me or something," Joe commented.
"I could have," Erin said smiling.
"Well we gotta go, sorry. It was nice seeing you again," I said.
"Yeah, we have a flight to catch. Don't want to be late," Joe said smiling at me.
"Have fun!" Erin said as she left.
We said goodbye to everyone and got into the limo and drove off to the airport. I couldn't wait to get on the plane and it was all we talked about on the ride over to the airport. We planned out what we were going to do and how much fun it was going to be.
Joe's P.O.V.
The only thing I heard of Devons conversation with Sam was her saying that something was amazing and Devon sounded really excited about whatever Sam had told her so I was assuming that my assumption that Kevin asked her was correct. I went over to Devon and asked her if I was right once she got off the phone.
"You knew and you didn't tell me?!?!" Devon asked me. Crap, I should have seen this coming. I should have known that she would be upset that I didn't tell her.
"Kevin didn't want me to say anything," I said nervously hoping she wasn't too mad. Luckily she forgave me and we went on to planning our honeymoon.
We decided to go to Australia stopping in Hawaii on the way there. I offered to do all the planning since she had planned everything else.
"Hi can I book a room for two nights?" I asked the woman on the phone.
"Sure that will be $1,500," she said. Man they charge a lot, whatever, but this hotel better be good. I called a hotel in Australia and booked a room there for two weeks. I did some research and found out what the best places to go were and what we could do while we were there.
Finally it was the day of the wedding and I was so excited and nervous at the same time. Kevin, Nick, and I drove over to the church to make sure everything was set up exactly how it was supposed to be.
"That is supposed to be over there," I told one of the workers and he started to move table in the opposite direction I had said. "No, your other right," I said frustrated. Jeez, can't these people get anything right.
"Chill dude. Everything will be fine," Kevin told me.
"Nick, do you have the rings?" I asked to double check.
"Of course, they're right here," he said reaching into his pocket. "Shit, I know I put them in my pocket," Nick said as he searched his other pockets.
"You lost the rings!" I yelled at him.
"Haha, here they are. Wrong pocket, sorry," he said smiling.
"Never scare me like that again, this needs to be perfect," I said.
"Kevin's right you need to chill," Nick told me.
Once I knew Devon had arrived I was so tempted to go see her, but once again I knew the rules and I couldn't see her until the wedding. Finally Kevin, Nick, and I walked into the church and I stood there waiting for Devon to walk in.
"Just keep breathing," Kevin reminded me.
"Thanks," I said as Devon started to walk down the aisle with her dad. Of course she looked amazing. The dress was perfect on her. Throughout the whole ceremony I was just staring at her admiring how beautiful she looked and it seemed as though she was doing the same. We quickly reached the I do part of the ceremony and then we kissed and walked out of the church.
"Are you ready?" I asked Devon referring to the paparazzi that I knew would be waiting for us outside.
"Ready as I'll ever be," she said smiling. I could tell she wasn't nervous at all about facing the paparazzi, nothing could ruin this day for her or for me. We got into the limo that was waiting and drove to where we were having the reception with everyone following us.
"Time for cake!" I yelled as soon as everyone had arrived. Devon and I cut the cake and ended up with cake on our faces and laughing. Once we had successfully removed all the cake from our face we took to the dance floor for our first dance to Ace of Spades by Jesse Ruben, yes Devon is still obsessed with him, but I must admit its a good song.
"Did I tell you that you look amazing?" I asked.
"Why thank you," Devon replied smiling. "You look pretty good yourself," she said laughing.
"I love you," I said as the song ended.
"I love you too," Devon said and then she kissed me, which was interrupted by her dad wanting to dance with her, which I gladly allowed.
