@nileqt1987 Ah thanks, not got round to seeing that one yet. Seen every episode from the Pertwee era onwards but having trouble tracking down a lot of the Hartnell and Troughton episodes. I believe The Dominators is on DVD now so hopefully I'll be able to watch it soon and will keep my eyes open for the jelly babies.

@gd070510 Actually, Pat was also eating Jelly Babies in The Dominators (the little white pouch), but he doesn't actually state what he likes to nibble until The Three Doctors. Tom got it from him, but made it extra famous. There's an adorable photo of Pat at a convention with a "I ♥ Jon" sticker on his forehead. Pat and Jon were great fun together (Pat's biggest pal, of course, was Frazer!).

Lolation. Aw. Can't believe all three of them are gone now. :( Of course, being given jelly babies is the best way to have your performance sabotaged. :) Maybe I was born WAAAAAAY too late.

@wdd3141 On screen it was mostly a Tom Baker thing, but Pat Troughton liked Jelly Babies in real life and was actually the first doctor to use Tom's famous line. He offered someone (I think it was the brigadier) a jelly baby in the 10 year anniversary special "The Three Doctors". It was the only time his doc had jelly babies on screen though. Tom had it as a catchphrase and a couple of later doctors would say the line once or twice in their era as a tribute.

Really heart warming to hear that Matt Smith regards Troughton as his favourite Doctor. Think its about time the Beeb showed a classic repeat season when the latest series ends
