After launching new social networking and mapping devices, watch dog groups and some foreign governments are demanding the corporate online giant do away with tools which infringe upon users' privacy rights. Google quickly responded with a transparency tool which discloses government censorship requests. However analysts say the new technology to track government censorship is merely a PR stunt to mask the company's growing privacy issues.

  • why are you afraid of? and fuck google? Youtube is a part of google ! Just be cool and may google win and they will win. they get support in the first place from the beginning , :) if you don't like it move to another site. and the other website's will also work with goverments and give information on you. so ther eis noo sollution for this.

  • if you put something on the internet it's not private. It has never been private

  • how did these people ended up working for RT?

This report is all over the place. They talk more about a "PR stunt" than the actual government requests that should be alarming.

  • Blocking certain things, going in and deleting others...

It's not a process for the lazy. XD

    I dunno, google it :D

  • @peepeevagi what easy ways are those ?

  • I'm getting a commercial now on about every three videos I click on youtube. Wow, with the new interface and the commercials, youtube officially sucks balls.

  • @Birdietweet - the "privacy settings" only mean some thing to other youtube users. It means nothing to youtube "insiders".

  • Lets promote new search site=problem solved =)

  • just look at the data collection of your you tube site under insight tab, account. You can shut off ad option but then be sure to read the "extended info" on an other page. Check your privacy settings as well , well you are in there. (if it matters, lol )
