This video shows the new Building Gun prototype, for Project Haven, in action.
It was designed to allow a combat approach for the builder class, allowing him to easily and quickly spawn blocks in a combat environment, without needing to "weld" it in place, like we used to in Sourceforts.
The block manipulation now is streamlined, allowing more precise positioning of the block on the battlefield.
Also, we can see the new "Snapping system" in action in that video, allowing you to "copy" the angles from the nearest block making the building process very simple and efficient.
As a plus, we can see a very crude version of the block "warp-in" effect we're going to implement, allowing us to easily distinguish where the enemy builder is working, and attempt to counter his efforts.

@iamtheking66 It will take a while yet. We're working hard to bring it as soon as possible, but it wont be as fast as we wish it could be. :)

Looks great but im kinda sceptical, Is there any way to make blocks fall while placing them? Because some stuff you could do in sourceforts you can't do as easily anymore if this warp thing is all you can do.

@ZocBr Ah. Well I hope it will be released sooner than later... it was always one of my favourite mods :) I spent so many hours playing it back in 05/06.
