Activision Classics - Chopper Command

A helicoper that shoots lasers...A pretty ingenious idea, but this game isn't very kind to me. That means I'm not very good at it, so I tried very hard. I also recorded the menu screen on here just so you can see what game from Chopper Command I'm playing. I'll also do this to other games from time to time.

In Chopper Command, you must shoot down all of the enemy heilcopters and planes while protecting your truck convoys from enemy fire (Gee, all this time, I thought that they were the enemy tanks; yes, that bit was reworded from the manual). The lasers normally appears as blue on a TV screen, but appear as a black zig-zagy line on the computer screen.

This is one of my best cuts at it, actually. I've made it to Level 3 before, but that was only maybe once or twice.

This is only a small handful of the games that I have available! I have 23 more games to go at this point! Just wait until I upload Kaboom! and Pitfall. The fans will go nuts (as long as I do a good job with the video)! You do have an Atari 2600? From the comment on Freeway, I thought you didn't have one! These games I show are definitely worth a try!

I played this when it came out on Atari and there was a note in it that if you get a "High score" you're supposed to take a pic of your tv screen and then send it to Activision. I got 999,999, took a pic with my camera, had it developed, and it was too bright too see!

i used to play this game in an arcade machine in a school suplies store in Mexico and i spend the whole day to finish it!!!!! the owner of the store almost kicked me out of the store, i played with a single coin !!!!

Fun game, but I've never played the Atari one before. I think the art style in this version looks cooler than the more advanced ones! The laser especially looks both cool and fun to use!

A VCS action classic. Typical Activision quality.

I remember when I first got this -- Thanksgiving over at my uncle's house -- totally absorbed by this game.
