Animal Therapy

Therapy pets bring love, hope and assistance to children and adults in rehabilitation centers, hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, retirement facilities, and schools. Therapy Pets of Greater Cincinnati (http://www.therapypetsofgreatercincinnati.org/) is an affiliate of the Delta Society, a national organization that currently has over 6,400 Pet Partner teams in the U.S. and 4 countries, who helped over 900,000 people in 2002. CETconnect.org with Sherry Sargeant visited Shriners Hospital for Children-Cincinnati along with Therapy Pets to learn more about how this program works from Glenna Mockbee, Director and President of Therapy Pets of Greater Cincinnati and Allison Root, a Child Life Therapist from Shriners Hospital.
