Battle of Britain's 70th anniversary in IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 (Horrido 2010)

"Horrido" was my second IL-2 Sturmovik video, back in 2003. Now, after a very successful online mission, been ace in one sortie, I've decided to edit this 2010 version, taking into account that this images come from a single track, a very nice mission organised by http://virtualbattleofbritain.org .

They made historically accurate missions this summer, the same day they took place... 70 years ago. Surely part of the success of this mission for germans was due to the lack of Spitfires, but in place of this big adversary, there were dozens of Hurricanes everywere.

This videos has been made public on September 15th, 2010, on the Battle of Britain day 70th anniversary.

Sorry for imperfections, I had not as time as I would like to make a better video. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy :)


This is only a quick homage for all those pilots that fought and lost their lives in that fierce battle... and a lesson for future pilots from the last scenes of this video; even if you are a proved ace, even in the better flight of your life, you can never, never, never be so much self-confident that you forget something critical, or your flight will end badly.

Много сваливался по началу в штопор, к середине игры научился быстро из него выходить, но на малых высотах(я часто летаю на малых с большой скоростью, подбить труднее) бывает врезаюсь в рельеф и деревья...

Однажды даже подбитый бомбардировщик падая меня протаранил когда я был на высоте 20м))
