This video is a brief photographical history of Yankee Stadium and Gate 2, which has been a part of the Stadium from day one. If you are not interested in seeing the video in its entirety, feel free to fast forward to 6:30 for the message about Gate 2.
Music selected from the works of Aaron Copland (Symphony No. 3 & Appalachian Spring), performed by the New York Philharmonic, live during the 2007 and 2008 concert seasons, respectively.
Gary Dunaier, who photographed at least one of the shots in this video (Gat 2 with patriotic bunting, for the 2008 All Star Game), is a ballpark photographer based out of the New York, Queens area. His attention to detail and patience to capture as much of the essence of the modern ballpark as possible is truly unrivaled.

An unmentioned thank you also needs to be paid to Mark Costello, John Trush and Matt Visco. Without your help, I would have merely sat idly by and watched as Yankee Stadium disappeared before my eyes.
In the end, I'll be able to say I fought for something, rather than watching it fade away.
What will you be able to say?
A wonderful visual history of our greatest ballpark. Check out the "savetheyankeegate2" for facts on current and proposed plans for this hallowed turf.
