Synopsis:
Estranged from his family and facing financial ruin, Joe is considering ending his life. While surfing an internet suicide chatroom, he befriends Aimee. They make a pact to 'catch the bus' together. But when they meet, their circumstances take an unexpected turn.

This is the first film forming part of a trilogy examining what happens when the line between the virtual and real worlds are crossed, and the bond formed between individuals who cross that line. What prompted the author to write this piece:
Antonio Rui Ribeiro said: "For a long time I've been fascinated by the magnetism exerted by the internet, attracting an increasing number of people from all social backgrounds to an array of networking sites, communities and blogs. This attraction to the 'unknown other' seems to remove our inhibitions to communicate with total strangers, perhaps reassured by the apparent safe distance of our PCs in this virtual landscape. So when the line is crossed and the virtual becomes real, what's left? Can new, uncompromising relationships begin, or are these newly transferred bonds mere extensions of a virtual world, destined to evaporate?" Nick Ewans latest film credits include 'Shaun of the Dead', 'London to Brighton' and 'Krakatowa' for Channel 4.
Bodelle de Ronde has worked on a number of stage plays and was in 'Teenage Kicks' for television.

The second of three short stories currently in pre-production.
Synopsis:
Jeff, a man in his seventies has lost his wife Josie to Alzheimer's. He feels at odds with the world and is having trouble connecting with the people he knows, including his daughter and old time friend Stan, a Pakistani man who he speaks with through Skype. Jeff decides to sell his house and moves into a motorway hotel. When he relocates, aside from a few possessions, Jeff takes a precious symbol of his love for his wife: a collection of miniature owls that is as old as his relationship to Josie. One morning, he accidentally breaks one owl and decides that the best thing is to sell the collection. Enlisting the help of Betty, a hotel employee, he places an ad on ebay.
He meets a stream of winning bidders with whom he is able to talk about the memories triggered by some of the owls, slowly reconciling himself with the world.
Antonio Rui Ribeiro - Biography
Antonio is the founder of Storymakers TV and Films, an independent film production company, where he works as director, screenwriter and producer of fiction, documentaries and music videos. He is currently working with Scottish producer Ross McKenzie on his new feature-length screenplay Last Chance. The film explores the life of an Austrian middle-aged woman, born out of a family involved in 2nd World War, and the lasting scars this conflict has left. Although he studied film, he has worked extensively in theatre, first as an actor from the young age of 16 and later as a director and playwright. He was the founder and artistic director of the Blue Elephant Theatre in South East London. From 1999 to April 2006, the artistic mission of the theatre was the development and production of new writing for the theatre with an emphasis on international writers, building a vast body of work originating mainly from countries experiencing political turmoil, dictatorship or war.
