Stephenie Meyer trusted a small number of people with her rought draft of Midnight Sun; on August 22nd, 2008 she was betrayed. Now the first twelve chapters of Midnight Sun are being spread via the internet. At first, this came as an oppertunity just to read a at least a little bit of her new book; now it looks like more of a scandal than anything. Stephenie Meyer's copywrite laws were ignored in this transaction, and she was deeply hurt both as an author and a person. In fact, she may not even finish Midnight Sun. I believe that ms. meyer is a bit of a whiner. She punishes everyone because she gave the script to one of the cast, they misplace it, then one opportunist runs with it .

So punish us all. Great tantrum.She is right, there are many mistakes in her writing....it never stopped her from publishing before. Sorry twi fans , she has a great story but she is far from a great writer.

This story is so "tragic." Makes child abuse, starving people in Africa, rape, and terminal illness look like fluffy fairytales. :(

i just read the first chapter of midnight sun and it....BORING and this is how it went

well...dnt i feel like shiz 4 reading it :( i just saw the link n thought tht all the confuzion was done n we could....wish the book was finished, edited, and published like stephenie wanted....i wasnt kept up 2 date with it..so i have been waiting 2 midnight sun 2 come out for a little over 3 years now because i failed to go online....:(

Im really sorry it happened to her but she is the one that gave out the copys. I really wish she would finish the book. I read it and loved it even if it wasnt the final copy. She is letting all her fans down for now finishing it.

As a person who loves to write myself, I would find it upsetting that something I had worked on was put on the internet and I would be mad because it violates my rights. But Stephanie blew this completely out of porportion! Yes it sucks, but you were the person who gave out the copies to people besides your editor and publisher. And it wouldn't stop me from writing. If something so small stopped me, I wouldn't be able to call myself a writer anymore, because I wouldn't deserve it at all.
