An American Creed
There will be those, perhaps in government, who will say that this comedy album is offensive, outrageous and irresponsible. To those charges may we quote the words of that great iconoclast from Baltimore who chronicled earlier Washington scandals. "It is the duty of the satirist to be outrageous and to offend. It is the duty of the government to be responsible." When a nation ceases to laugh at its' foibles and mistakes, it ceases to be great. But because this IS a great nation it will survive Watergate, and indeed, this album.

Great art survives its time and speaks to those not of its time and of conditions beyond it original context. By this definition this recording is great art. Who could have imagined Contragate, Monicagate, the Afghan and Iraqi, Pakistani, Libyian, Syrian, and Iranian wars, Guantanamo, "enhanced interogation", etc.
Listen and understand when presidential accountability to the electorate became a a very bad farce.
