  • He`s right twice in 81` they did Winsford, I was there

  • @spats67 Fair enough. 'Never Mind The Bollocks' was a classic but I would agree that some music from the Ruts,UK Subs, Buzzcocks,SLF,Adverts etc was better.

  • @zerohero99 I don't think anyone doubts their impact. Its still talked about today. Impact alone doesn't make a great band though. They had their moments but i don't rate them as i rate many other punk bands

  • I refer you back to my original comment. They were a manufactured band - thrown together by McLaren who had his own vision which he moulded them around. And they were a joke - any band who manages to replace Glen Matlock with Sid Vicious is a joke. Apart from the American bands doing it all before them, The Clash, the Damned, The Buzzcocks and the Banshees were better. And the British bands that came 6-12 months later were immeasurably better - Joy Division, The Fall, Wire, The Mekons, Crass...

  • @spats67 The Sex Pistols were inspired and influenced by ideas, attitudes and music from both Britain and America. From Britain the Troggs,Bowie, glam rock,T Rex,Pink Fairies and from USA the Stooges and New York Dolls. They all respected the Ramones but what the Sex Pistols created was different to any of those groups. In 1977 the Pistols' angry intelligent lyrics and pounding tunes were like an explosion.

  • @spats67 fuck off,3 times in my life iv ad respect off pistols writers photographers&the great jonny,iv got 3plus yrs on u sunshine,iv still got it,any1 ever want ur photo eh?dont patronise me.i was 12 when it started,i was there in a big way now i look bk.its been my way of life ever since.im the real deal a proper PUNK.yanks luv 2 say they started stuff u no thats, crap as every brit of my gen no's.those yank bands are glam rock.u make a choice in life,u are wot u are,u aint a punk, mr fake

  • @regipunk1 If it wasn't for the pistols there wouldn't be any punk!!! Are you that fuckin daft? I didn't think it could be possible but regipunk is the sid vicious of the 21st century - a complete fucking arsehole.

Punk was out there long before the pistols - the velvets had much more attitude than the pistols, the stooges much more balls, the ramones much more energy. The pistols were Britain's answer to what had already happened a long time before in the States

  • this man is full of shit, the supid cunt

  • @spats67 fuck off ya silly cunt, boy band?ur a fuckin joke sunshine.if it wasnt for the pistols there would'nt be any punk,if you really think that, then ur a total knob.everyone knows steve ignorant is a bullshitter.you silly daft cunt.now shut up you middle class wanker........oh and remove that silly coment you daft cunt

  • The Pistols were a total fuckin joke. They were a manufactured pop band.
