you should check out Jean-Paul Gaultier's recent couture show, which features clothes heavily inspired by amy winehouse.

the majority of those models (and it's easy to tell just which ones - no muscle) clearly have some serious problems.

a friend of mine has a few contacts involved in the fashion industry and trust me, it's a lot darker and more corrupt than you could ever imagine.

that food that's prepared backstage? it barely gets touched.

like i said, many models live off of drugs (smoking & cocaine) and laxatives to fit the criteria to gain the honor of walking on that runway. and it's been admitted.

but you can usually tell the models that are healthy vs the unhealthy with a fair bit of ease

@Cla900 Yes, I am. You should know that. I know not all models are Healthy but there's still some Models that are Healthy, like in this case Daul Kim the asain model who died of Anorexia, and that's only in le Fashion Week, but in case you haven't noticed when they're getting ready they're actually eating back-stage and at the after parties and stuff. but you're right it's very common.

yes, there is a huge majority that are naturally thin but the majority of them are incredibly unhealthy.

eating disorders, drugs, laxatives are common things in the fashion industry

@567axel OMG did you just compare getting a twisted ankle to possible DEATH, Ive done my share of 12 hr days too you know and I didnt get paid $20k for it either. And dont sit there and tell me models work 365 days a yr cause thats just BS. If you want to do some real hard work voluntear yourself on a farm for a month, of on a buildint project theres NOTHING harder than physical labour period. Sure theres busyer but harder NO F'ing way

@GeneralG1810 ok that may be hard, but I still believe that MODELING is Hard, there's no such thing as a DAY OFF, unlike mining. so they work everyday of the Year like a Designer. and it not just twisted ankles, it more than just that. you're just Ignorant. like every-other person in the Americas. you need to be Open minded.

@567axel Oh yeah thats hard comapred to mining, you go 400 Ft underground and dont know if your gona come home alive? You work in confined space, thin air no AC heavy work gear, tools loud noise fumes, you get half hour for lunch that you pay for and then of course theres always the injuries a bit more than a twisted ankle let me tell ya. Yeah them poor models have it so hard they get their make up done hair done free travel on stage for maybe an hour. FUCK OFF hard work

@GeneralG1810 in front of a Live audience, in very uncomfortable clothes, and the Runway isn't as big as it looks. and it's like 45 meters long or so. and sometimes the shoes don't even fit the models and if they don't fit it'll be the Hardest show ever especially if it's CHANEL; because CHANEL is the Longest one ever. so I say Modeling is really Hard.

@GeneralG1810 they have to walk over 60 shows and do photoshoots in the hot weather with Winter clothes or in cold weather in Spring clothes due to the recent shows. they travel back and forth and their career don't last that long, like Firefighters, coal miners, soldiers, builders,mechanics, etc. and sometimes the designers don't pick them in casting, and they have contracts. they are in Strict diets and they have to walk in sky high heels, tight outfits, and the runway is very slippery.
