This is great.
Firstly, he's no singer, but he hits the notes and you can forgive him, because of his avuncular, laddish charm.
Secondly, listen to what the songs about - it fits so perfectly. If you don't have the cognition to imagine a little back story then switch off now - A young man who has nothing to give the girl he loves, other than his affection and this song he's written. And he's not a great singer, but its the best he can do - well, then it becomes beautiful. Transcendental. Perfect
