Performed at my degree recital at the University of Maryland, Dec. 2, 2007.

The upbeat "Javanaise" in a 5/4 meter uses a vamp in the bass and piano parts that is very similar to that in the jazz hit "Take Five" by the Dave Brubeck Quartet.

  • Can't hear the bass though

  • Wonderful! Thanks from a guy who bought this music way back when it came out on vinyl LP - you do it justice :)

  • Some years ago I was in this wonderful northeast German town. My friend, who was the lover of his music professor´s wife played this suit. Do you know who formed the band? my friend (flute), the professor (bass), the professor´s wife (piano) and my friend´s girl friend (drumms). Great quartet! I was the only one (besides my friend) to know what was going on. So, I will never forget this piece.
