Amongst the more than 100 commercial, I managed to get only a few Karmann Ghia commercial. I am surprised how honest it is about the fact that it was called: the slowest sportscar in the world! In this commercial VW makes fun about the fact that the car cannot drive through a paper wall!

Anyone who wants to see how the VW K-G started out, just Google Image "chrysler d'elegance ghia" and you'll see the show car that became the first sporty VW... in particular, the side profile of the K-G looks like a scaled down chrysler d'elegance

They weren't "founded" by the Nazis Porsche was planning to build the car before he ever met Hitler, however, it would be correct to say that the Nazis sponsored the car and built the factory

No problem, as a side note, Karmann also built the Beetle and Golf/Rabbit Cabrios and the Sirocco

Not wrong, and I have several books on the VWs that back me up, Karmman is a coach builder, which means they hand-craft bodies; the K-G btw, began life as a Chrysler Showcar called the D'Elegance, designed by Virgil Exner & the Ghia Studios; when Chrysler decided not to build the car as a production model, Ghia bought the rights to the design and eventually it was modified to fit the VW chassis, and the K-G was born
