  • I know that Tegu's can have missing toes from having shedding problems before. When the Tegu doesn't shed all the way the skin cuts of the circulation and the toes will fall of.I was just wondering why his Tegu has the missing toes when he supose to teach us how to properly care for the Tegu's.Seeing something like that makes me wonder if he even knows how ( not to be rude ).

  • @txrepgirl well my tegu is 3foot long now and she still has all her toenails

and they are at least 1cm long but nails on back legs over 1cm

plus i keep my humidity 100% right as i spray 10 or 15 litres water in every day

as my vivarium is 12,feet long by 3,feet wide by 3,feet tall. and it has 100,litres

of PRO REP spider life soil in it and 100,litres PRO REP orchid bark fine grade.

and 3 250W EXO TERRA ceramic heat edmitters and 4 160W ZOO MED power sun

UV-A-B lamps in there and heat mat

  • very dirty , that tegu needs a bath

  • @txrepgirl some times they dont shed there skin if they have not eaten food alot.

as this is how found that out and think it like this.

    1. you feed them alot big heavy gut full,

2, when they have a big gut full their body weight becomes heavy when pick him or her up

    3. body streches out every where hard due to ththat

    4. because of that, its body begins to want to shed after a week

    5. plus mind you loads of healthy vitamins and minerals when get given loads locusts

  • well my tegu mary shes still to friendly but now shes 1meter long now so shes grown by 1foot with in 10 months she still eats 150 adult 80mm locusts though

  • @txrepgirl to prevent this to happen just keep high humidity in his enclosure and a rock or half "U" shaped log strong enough to him to scratch his skin off

i live in Panama Rep, so humidity at my home is around 90% rains every 3 or 2 days

so i keep him in a 8'x4'x'4' enclosure plain soil as a substrate and only 4 holes of 2.5 inch covered with a screen in it to give a lil bit of ventilation so it doesnt grow any fungus in it.

always feed your tegu not too much of food, obesity can occur

  • shut up his tegu should fuck u

  • cuz if they dnt shed probebly or if ya dnt look after propebly

wen cums to shedding time they will more then likly fall off is y u need to care for them propebly

    he dnt know nout :D

  • WOW THAT 2 GUY WAS A BIG MFER besides that good commen snice rules
