Sure Electronics 0832 displays X 4 connected together to make a large led matrix display.

I built the interface on veroboard using a PIC16F913 @ 20MHz, DS1307 Real Time Clock & LM35 Temp sensor to gather the time and temperature and send the infomation to the display modules.

This also has a LDR to adjust PWM of the display acording to the amount of light in the room.

  • Nice, but is it fast enough to display seconds?

  • I belive its fast enough to display seconds, I havnt tryed this, as adding seconds would mean more displays or reducing the size of the digits.

  • Could you please tell me how do you control the led matrix, do you use a dedicated led matrix chip ? Thanks.
