Joe Barone, singing What Do I Need With Love? from the show "Thoroughly Modern Millie" at Mount Vernon High School. I would love some comments! Email me at baronej@carleton.edu!

  • I hate when people tag videos as someone... Such as, this isn't gavin but it's tagged as him...

  • Yes, but it is related, and I want people to see it. Obviously Gavin wasn't singing at the Mount Vernon High School May Fiesta, but nobody is going to search that, are they?

  • @VenenoSocial I'm a bass too D;! I wish my school would do that...I could NAIL THAT ROLE!!!

  • D: As a bass, I seriously resent that statement. I personally loved the key change of this song. It made a song I've never been able to sing, but wanted to, singable. Also, this guy is in high school, so it's pretty impressive.

  • xD

our Jimmy was named Joe, too! i'm like... oh! Joe!! haha it wasn't himmm

  • eh, pacing back and forth...not so great. could use more energy and engagement with the audience but overall good pitch and a nice tone!

  • Sadly I haven't found any clips with a good version of this yet. some are OK, like this one, but I don't like the octave.

  • ok i watched some of his other stuff and hes actually pretty damn good...but obviously this one wasnt his best. but i do agree he definately has potential

  • Watch his other videos. He's really good. I think he has plenty of Broadway potential.

  • i agree a bit over exagerating...it was a bit too boring to watch him, listening was fine but i just couldnt watch. plus, its probably better cuz its in a lower key than its originally written. any tenor/baritone can sing it in this key. i dont mean to knock the performance, this guys really good but seriously not broadway bound. a pop singer maybe, but if they had to lower the key for him...no way broadway

  • i luv it....definitely...i would've loved a much more jazzy sound in the actualy style of your singing...but its cool..still very nice. and i luv the high key much better....but this was good for you :)

  • agree with the face thing but vocally speaking i liked it
