Bryant University: 7+ DPS Members vs 1 Teenager

Event occurred on May 1st, 2011 at 1:25 AM. Excessive use of force by Bryant University's DPS to restrain one young adult. Think of it what you will, but I think all of those people just for one kid was a little unnecessary.

UMMMM, i witnessed this happening (i'm wearing the white shirt with blue art on it in the corner of the video). It was intense. Sorry dude, this was too nuts. Not DPS's fault at all. This kid would not settle down and was totally going after the DPS officers. Very uncool. They're there to protect us, and he was NOT cooperating. Sorry, I cannot support him at all.

@duckdgers23 from what people were telling me/what I've heard from other internet blogs, is that the kid supposedly decked one of the DPS officers while he was rollerblading around campus. If that's true, then I can see why all of them came after him once they finally found the kid. But yeah, that's just what I've heard/read

This is Bryant DPS out of control! Bryant you need to do something about this NOW! I think these DPS should Be Fired

What did this kid do wrong rollerblade? If they wanted to cuff him why didn’t they do it when they took him off the rail, you can clearly see he was not trying to get away. WHY was it necessary to rip him down to the ground? I can see one DPS wind up and hit him with something and another Kick him while he was on the ground what gives them the Right to do this?

Isn't Bryant ranked one of the safest school's in the countr?. There's no way I would ever allow my daughter to attend this school if this is how they treat their students.

I think I would rather send her to a public institution where actual police officers can be held accountable for their actions. I'm sure these (DPS) officers were not reprimanded for the beating of this poor student...
