  • wat happen to lahm left arm???

  • schwienstieger was there, he came on in the second half. they were only missing frings. and the italians were missing nesta and de rossi.

  • Re: shots on goals... it was a joke. It is highly fallacious to think that teams should win because they initiated more attacking maneuvers. Those who are most effective and efficient win, not those who are most uselessly prolific (I thought Germans knew that?). And as for FIFA rankings, right before the 2006 World Cup, the United States was ranked as #5 in the world. It then promptly lost or tied all its group games. Using FIFA rankings to justify Germany's superiority is *really* misguided.

  • Name a brilliant international performance from him that hasn't been against Portugal. And he's so classy that he can't even get minutes for Bayern anymore. I don't hate Germany, just dislike the notion that a team that was playing for penalties somehow deserved to win the match (and I'll say the same about Italy in the quarterfinals against Spain). Yes, Italy messed up against Brazil... I believe it was Germany, though, that lost to Finland or some other Scandinavian country ranked in the 50's?

  • nah mate he frightens alot of teams thats why he's a world class player, u just hate Germany so ur not prpared to admit it, italy seemed to fuck up against brazil though the other night. when did i say u get points for shots on goals? Also explain why Germany are higher ranked in the world than Italy

  • Schweinsteiger? The only team he frightens is Portugal. The point is that Italy, unlike Germany, did not let up on the pressure and scored two brilliant goals. You don't get points for shots on goal... just goals : )

  • well I would argue that Borowski played a solid match that day

  • Germany should have won, they were playing so well, good attack and solid defense, they just let up at the last minute before penalties, and were missing 2 of their best players, Frings and Schweinstieger
