I have a black moor goldfish that is slow but loves to be at the top. This is eaither a deformity or a black moor bred with a commet goldfish which is not likely so it is deffinately a deformity

this happens because they are partially blind and they have hard time seeing thats why they swim slow.

@123codfan This is because they don't have as good of eyes as other goldfish and don't like to go to the top to feed. They like it better if their food sinks.

@123codfan a way to help him/her is to feed them sinking food so they dont have to go up to the surface.

I have a black moore goldfish, and his tail is very similar. One section of the tail is very small. For some reason I never noticed it before, but my water quality is good, so I think that it is a genetic problem. Otherwise, he's very healthy and eats all of the time. Very pretty aquarium, by the way.
