The time travel has never been dumb, in my opinion. I agree with you with the stripping of powers, though. It worked in Season 2, with the Shanti virus (because, in general, it wasn't permanent), but this season really irks me with Arthur stealing people's abilities - and the writers never giving the characters back something that is *inherit to their genetics*.
But I still love seasons 1 and 2. Season 3 just did a nosedive, though :\

It cheeses me off that all they can come up with is stupid time travel plots and ways to open more plot holes and take away more powers from the characters and kill as many people off as they can.
