This is it! What you've all been waiting for! A professional recording of the AFD100 head! Our resident demonstrator Chris George managed to get his hands on a pre-production prototype and took the opportunity to try it out. Using a 1960B standard cabinet and Gibson Les Paul, this was recorded with a Shure SM57 microphone right here in our on-site theatre.

Bear in mind this is a pre-prod model so is not necessarily cosmetically correct, hence you'll notice it has no front panel! This video is purely to give you all an idea of just how awesome the Slash AFD100 Signature can sound!

  • does that marshall back there have the killing the dragon album cover by Dio on the cab and head???

  • The 1960B cabinet is equipped with G12T75 speaker?

  • @GNRjeff you would also have to go from EL34 to 6550 and change the bias resistors for that as well. i did on my jvm. i also ended up going .68uF on the first stage bypass cap as i liked how it made the sound a little bigger and less shrill.

  • @GNRjeff

for the #34 sound on my JVM410H i changed the cathode bypass cap on the 1st gain stage to .47uF, bypassed the 3rd gain stage with a .1uF cap, changed last gain stage bias resistor to 1K and bypassed it with a .47uF cap, put in a 470pF/470K treble peaker on the main board, converted OD1 and OD2 into a 2203 circuit and used a 2200pF cap for the preamp treble peaker instead of a 470pF cap. should have to do something along those lines on the DSL to get the #34 atleast.

  • hey dude, I like very much your playing! ABout sound, I think it was really compressed by microphone....not the real sound we can hear in front the cabinet....

  • nevadamusic.co.uk have just sourced the last 6 heads. Last chance to own one of these amazing heads!!!

  • the AFD100 makes me a believer...

  • @thuglyfe91332 Once again I see people bumming this amp more than it's worth, it's pathetic
