For something that you call a remix, this sounds like you just replayed the song with your own set of instruments and made it even more of a theatrical masterpiece. If this is truly just a remix, then it's a really great one at that, and I just love it.

You are right, its not a "remix", but it is a "ReMix". The two words meaning are quite different. I never do Remixes but ReMixes instead. It's important to notice the difference.

A ReMix is an existing song redone from scratch but retaining some of the original melody and other elements. In other words, you change a metal song intro a classic orchestra (Its an bit of an over-example)
A Remix is using some parts (or the whole) original song into the new song you add/modify parts of it. All of which you do it to your liking...
I find the last option easier for starters but is VERY limited in creativity, unless you are a lifetime pro DJ of some sort... I never did one.
