my prediction: the united states will wage war regardless of who is wielding the instruments of coercion. the insatiable appetite for conflict has manifested itself continuously over the last few decades. we will not stop shooting people and blowing things up until posterity disallows it. it will. going around the world shooting people and blowing things up is not cheap. it will prove unaffordable eventually.
