HouseChatt Question of the Week:
The crown molding in my house is starting to crack where it meets the ceiling and separate from the ceiling about 1/8" or so. What can I do to fix this?

  • Caulk the cracks with Acrylic latex caulk and paint the mounding. I would not recommend gluing the molding because if you ever want to take it down you will damage the drywall taking the trim down. A good caulk job and paint will take care of the problem.

Of course movement in homes is normal and will happen seasonally.

  • this is cool WDEF. I can't find any work. Makes me feel empty.

  • Good tips!

    Cheers
