This is a practice reload for IPSC style shooting.

Some things to note.
#1 This is practice for a specific type of shooting competition (IPSC) and is done with production legal gear. Lots of rules and restrictions apply, read here: http://www.ipsc.org/pdf/RulesHandgun.pdf
#2 This includes a reaction to the beep which is random, and me pulling the trigger. If you're fast, this will add about .2 to your time, making this a solid sub-second reload.
#3 You'll also notice that I keep good form. The gun starts out pointing directly at the camera and you can see my eye line up with the sight and come back to the same place after the reload.

That being said, I'm amused at all the jokes, but if don't think this is quick then A: You don't shoot at all, or B: You need to get off your ass and post a reply video doing it faster.

As a point of reference, here's the world champion in production doing a world record with IDPA gear: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qU3jceN4JAc his reload time is 1.4 seconds.

Thanks for watching!

  • I believe the buzz is .3.

  • @BoldLikeLion

The buzzer is set to go off randomly. That way I don't "learn" when it goes off and cheat.

  • @satanlvsu2 That is not what im saying. In uspsa when stages are set by par time. Shooters are allowed .3 over the allotted time, because of the length of the buzz.

  • @BoldLikeLion Gotcha. Thanks.

  • whats with the "90 degrees to my waist" lol

  • @spoondude9

IPSC and USPSA are sports that have specific rules about equipment. In "Production" your gear has to be 90 degrees to your waist. If you watch the Tomasie video you'll notice (aside from it being blazing fast) that his mag is right in front of him which helps him to be faster. My video ( a sub-second reload) looks slow but is actually pretty fast for production.
