Blair, a design engineer at Dyson, gives DustFluffGrit an exclusive overview of the technology behind the new DC26 'City' Wood + Wool canister.

The clip was filmed at Dyson HQ in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, sitting at the famous Dyson 'tension table'. Composed of 2 sheets of laminated glass and wire cables, the table appears to float on thin air!

  • Whats the Air watt rating?

  • @WTFp0s 160 airwatts - optimised for high pick-up through the new Dual Cavity FlatOut tool.

  • @vintagehoover how is the given floor tool pick up? it looks weak without a turbine in it?

  • @roombafan56001 Please see my previous response to this question.

  • Did the root cyclone make the dual cyclone obsolete?

  • @JJ9715 Hi there - yes, the Root Cyclone system is more efficient at separating microscopic dust from the airstream. Also, by splitting airflow through multiple cyclones, instead of one big one, a greater volume of air can be moved. When Dyson introduced the DC07, the first Root Cyclone model, suction was 45% more powerful than on their previous upright!

  • He's cute.

  • I like the way that the flick of a catch causes the rear wheel to fold back, exposing the filter.

Perhaps these are easier to get into than the DC05, with two screws hidden behind the rear wheels?

  • whoever is downrating this video is dumb
