  • Nice specs.

I'm building my first pc, mainly so i can play FSX.

You think i can run FSX on all ultra high.

    Phenom ii x4 960t @ 3 GHz

AMD HIS Radeon 6850 1 GB

    ASRock 970 Extreme3

    PNY XLR8 8 GB ( Performance Series ) CAS 9

    What do you think.

I'm just waiting on my hard drive and OS to get here, should be here tomorrow.

Hopefully i can unlock the extra 2 cores on the cpu, 75% chance success rate. Wish me luck...lol

  • @helloimclaudio If you do some overclocking, you might be able to hit pretty high settings. Although I'd advise against going for PNY's RAM. I suggest Corsair, G.Skill, or Mushkin for RAM. As for your motherboard, I suggest you get an MSI, Asus, or Gigabyte board and the only reason I say this is because those are the best known companies for their quality and overclockability. Good luck!

  • @UTubeLightBulb Yeah, i actually decided to go with the parts i mentioned, you should be a bit more open minded. ASRock was created and is associated with Asus so it's pretty much the same brand, and pny turned out to be very good ram at a cheap price. I will be getting a new cpu cooler soon, any opinions on that, i have the Hyper 212 or the TX3 in mind.

  • @helloimclaudio Well, the choice is always yours. I suggest the Hyper 212 as it is the biggest bang for the buck when it comes down to CPU cooling.

  • @UTubeLightBulb Yeah, im not sure though, whether to go with the 212 plus or the 212 evo

  • @helloimclaudio I'd go with the evo if you have the money. If not, the original is known the still be one of the best air coolers.

  • @helloimclaudio Yeah, i paid off my computer already so now im just gonna save and spend on other misc. like monitor and heatsink, my motherboard is a socket am3+ and the hyper 212 plus sais it's am3, it should still work on my am3+ right?

  • @Tofuman924 It should

  • i want the crucial balistix tracers ddr3 1600 would it work on this board?
