Wow,some people are just idiots. I've been a volunteer fire firefighter for 10 years and a for a 5 min response time is great for a vol FD. I'm one of 10 firefighters at my station. So it takes a good 7 mins to get a truck out for anything, People need to understand not all fire houses are paid
-
You people don't understand that it takes at lest 7 mins till we arrive on seen

@3Mudbone1 u ass I'm a volunteer and we do that shit for free I fucking love it keep it tax dollars fucker and go buy some more crack
-
@PopppaBlue59 well I guess it depends on which of the many different and geographically placed Paid Stations there are around the Country. I know of many Communities that have Career Stations and their response times are well above the 4 min. mark for Nfpa, say like 8-10 mins. So having a Paid Station does not solve all of the problems.I agree, if your Community can't afford a full Paid, go with a Combination..

Some people don't realize that yea, you called 911 like 15 min ago, but it takes a lot longer for dispach to get the call and page the firefighters. It'll only take the department a few min to get on scene. It takes even longer if you call on a cell phone too. You're better off calling local pd directly.

your an idiot. the FD response time is anywhere frm 3-6 mins. fuck your house. # 1 concern for firefighters is life safety. I wouldnt give two shits about the house you set on fire because you cant store gasoline properly or you fell asleep smoking. A typical firefighter work schedule is 10 days a month 24 hour shifts. How would you like to go to a fully involved structure fire just before you sat down to eat and now your working for 15 hrs without a bite of food or a break. ignorant

@wresqu You know, 5 minutes for a volunteer department or any department for that matter is a GREAT response time. It probably would have been a longer response time in the city of Yakima with a full-time fire department!
-
@Ghstwn lol the water from the garden hose would probably turn to steam before it would touch any wood!
-
Amazing that nobody even attempted to hook a few garden hoses together and tone down the flames as best as they could before the F.D. showed up. Any water at all might have helped. But Noooo! They all just watched and videoed. Great neighbors.
LOL!
what people dont realize is that the average response for an engine company in a city is 4 1/2 minutes this video is 3:10 you gotta remember traffic conditions and respose area size not every city is like LA or NY where there is a Fire station every ten blocks some of these departments are serving their community under staffed and out of NFPA compliance because well they cant or wont pay for a larger department. NFPA regs. say you should be able to reach the outer edges of you area within 4:30.

@3Mudbone1 Actually we don't. 70% of Americas Fire Departments are VOLUNTEER. Thanks.
