  • @Bebuchadnezzar1 Ok I'll have to do that. I did play outside woman blues they way you said and I can tell a difference. I'll refer to Clapton's acoustic version to set my playing straight. Well As of now I've been playing for over 4 years. I mostly play blues and Classic rock stuff. My favorite guitarists are Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix. I can tell you play guitar with your good advice. How long have you been playing and What type of music are you into. I'm guessing your into blues too.

  • @DQUZ9025 No worries. Yes, the song is in the key of E - the 'response lick' you're playing is fine (the one between the 12th and 14th frets), but the riff based around the E7#9 is wrong. It would be quite hard to tab out the way it should be played on here so probably just refer to Clapton's acoustic version (it's on here so you're possibly familiar with it) to see what I mean.

How long have you been playing for?

  • @Bebuchadnezzar1 Thanks for your comment!! I'm glad someone is paying attention to my videos. lol Your the first person to correct me in 2 or 3 years. I made this vid when I first learned the song from a friend who is a bass player and at the time this is how I was taught. See the main riff should be played an Octave higher at the 12 fret in the key of e right? And thanks for telling me about the B7 or b7#9 chords.

  • Dude, this is very, very wrong; you're playing the main riff incorrectly, and you've omitted the V chord for some reason (bars 9-10, "And if you lose your woman...", should be a B7 or a B7#9).

  • @mistervicenteblues Thanks!! It's got tex-mex pickups on it.

  • great tone on your strat!
