@ExecutiveErnst1 My favourit story was how everybody thought the blue division was Spanish - Any of you so called fucking experts out there know how many were Basques from Navarra who were Requetes fought and died there? I get pissed off when credit is not given -especially by badly educated school boys having wet dreams about a reinvented past.

How wonderful. Fighting for German Imperialism. Perhaps, since your father did not die, it proves that Hell was overflowing.
My father was a Flemish volunteer on the eastern front. He told me about the Division Azul. They were very much respected by the Germans. Brave men fighting against communism, wel knowed by them because of the Spanish civil war few years before. Gracias amigo's Espanolas !

they were impressive soldiers. my favorite story is about a group of germans retreating across lake Lagoda in subzero temps only to make it finally to german lines. Upon reaching the men they thought were germans they hear "Santa Maria" in fact these men were of the Spanish Blue division.
