Stop-motion animated short focusing on the choice we must make between recycling our trash and throwing it in the dustbin. This conflict is symbolized by a battle between a recycled can that transforms into a robot and fights a giant monster made of garbage.

I wanted to draw a unique connection between environmental issues and awesome Japanese inventions such as Transformers, Kaiju (giant monster) Films, and Tokusatsu shows (like Power Rangers).

Made in Colleen Brennan's senior visual arts animation class. We had to connect our piece to the theme, "metamorphosis." I came up with the idea because when you recycle materials they undergo a metamorphosis, or a "transformation" if you will, from something nasty and gross (garbage) into something awesome (like a robot... or new cans).
