SHAMAN

We went to visit the Shaman with a friend of ours who's son was ill, they let us film the traditional healing ceremony which involved sucking out evil spirits from the boy and blowing shamanic energy into his body.

This is a fascinating insight into traditional alternatives to modern medicine in amazonian kichwa communities.

The interesting part is I can recognize things I've read about Shamanism in books.

To all those with "pedo" comments, I'd like to remind you there's nothing sexual about what that man did to that boy. It's a pratice called cupping, which is to extract sickness by the mouth. He didn't suck on the boy's nipple. He only sucked air, if anything.

if this guy is a pedo, then what are the doctors who cup your balls and tell you to cough? i dont see anything that makes this look sexual at all - they look very serious to me. by the way - the tobacco he is smoking is hallucinogenic to put him into trance, but you can also do this with drumming/rattling. the sucking part is also very dangerous if you are not well trained, but there is a safer method where you can use your hands instead. both methods are found in indigenous cultures.
