  • On your video " learn a little bit more on sugar gliders here " you said that you got them at 8 and 6 weeks old. i read online you were suppose to at least get them at 12 to16 week old. is that true, to get them 12 to 16 weeks old? Thanks!!!!

  • When you ever decide to take the time to properly learn all about them on your own instead of expecting all the answers to be handed to you then you will learn that 12 weeks is a general / average amount of time OOP that it takes for a Joey to be peeing pooing eating and drinking on their own. Some learn sooner some learn later. Once you are sure they are doing all of that on their own without their parents help then they are good to go to their new home.

  • hello rcems629, i have a few questions for you.

    1) What age should i get my sugar glider at?

    2) Should it be a male or a female?

    3) Which one is less aggresive?

    4) What is the Apple bee's thing about? its cute.

    5) How do you do the Apple bee's video

I am not trying to be mean in the questions. Oh, yes did you mean don't get ONE suggie, or don't get any at all? That's it Thanks!!!!

  • I am not here to give anyone personal lessons on Sugar Gliders. What I do with mine is a decision that I have made based on the bond that I have with mine and the fact that I do not want mine to be caged animals. In my opinion they should have a cage for safety reasons but not to spend the majority of their lives in. In my opinion they are not the kind of animals to leave at home in a cage either. I almost never leave my house with out them with me, this is what the Applebee's video is about.

  • A quote from an email I got just the other day.

"I am sad to say that we are in the process of looking for a new home for our babies. We love them dearly and they are doing great. They are well bonded and never bite or crab at us ...ever. But we cant live with the "barking" at night. Last night they woke us 6x between 12am and 5am. We live in a very small apartment so we can hear them from every room. My kids go to school exhausted everyday and it's effecting everyone. "

  • hey, rcems629? i have a question. i have study sugar glider because i'm getting one very soon, and i looked up recipes, health, pouches, nails, teeth, sleeping, nocturnal ect. so any ways it did say some stuff about newspaper, cotton, cloth material to use as bedding i was wondering if you could use shavings. like hamster or guinea pig shavings?

    Thanks!

  • "i was wondering if you could use shavings. like hamster or guinea pig shavings?"

NO! obviously you need to do a lot more research for 2 reasons,

    1) If you have done enough research then you would not have asked me this question.

    2) You said " i have study sugar glider because i'm getting one very soon," ONE! Please do not get ONE!

  • I have to give you credit they are Very bonded to you. I don't know if you got urs when they were babies. But mine would never never stay that close to me. I do need to spend more time with them and I did get them already grown.

  • so cute. i met these cutties the other day! so wonderful!

  • not a good idea restaurant ,fuzzy animal nooooooo just no>.>

  • eating steak? r u serious?

  • I'm sorry i love suggies but its a place where people eat. Not for pets to be on the table. Gross dude!

  • When i get my sugar glider i will take it everywhere too! :-)

  • dose apple bees let them in there?

  • my suggies come everywhere too. the lucky fuzzbats got some of my fruit smoothie today when i was out ! x

  • also on a further note, newspaper is toxic to these little fellas, you should never use shavings either they are usually cedar wood which is again toxic. it is cruel to get one suggie

  • This is hands down the best video on the Internet, ever.

I love your suggies, you should check mine out if you get a chance.

    :)
