A JEMI STORY / A NEMI STORY episode 1 - just run away

The moon shone into the pitch black room, lighting the back of someone.
"I love you" the boy said, his eyes glazing over at the cracked picture lying on the floor. He clenched his chest and it was cut deeply. Quivering, he could no longer hold the picture frame, and let its corner fall into his palm. His eyes closed, feeling the wetness around his eyes soak deeper.
His head fell forward, letting his hair overlap and stick to his face. He could barely breathe.and let himself be carried away.

*3 months earlier*
"Mom, I dont want to go to this stupid dance. I have no dress. I dont look good in anything!!" said a girl about 17 years old. She had thick mahogany hair and almond eyes that fit perfectly into her sloping nose and raspberry lips. She wasnt the most beautiful person in the world, but she had a certain presence that made you feel contempt.

"demi, what are you talking about? You look gorgeous. Just ask your sister. All the boys will you be looking at you!"

"oh my god Demi. You look hot!!" said her sister.

"ugh.mom!!" Demi said, embarrassed. She looked in the mirror, noticing she did look kinda pretty. Her dress was long, simple, but it fit her perfectly.

"bye honey. Have a great time. Dont do any of that dirty dancing! "said her dad.

She got into the car and drove to the dance. She walked in and it was dark but there were neon lights everywhere and rainbow streamers. It looked beautiful, especially the way the high lights went across the room. Demi stood at the corner, alone, as usual.

"hey, you look really pretty tonight!" said a couple of girls from her English class- girls she barely talked to.

Demi was a loner. It was clear by the way she stared down at her purse, listening to the music and letting the vibrations go through her head.

.....Come on, demi. You have to dance. Dont be afraid of looking like a losereveryone else is dancing.. itll be fine. .....

Demi plodded over to the pulsating group of teenagers, hoping to blend in. of course, the popular kids were in the middle of the crowd.
Kevin and joe jonas chelsy staubAshley tisdale, megan martin, the usual.

suddenly a familiar face came out the hallway. "hey demi. I cant believe you came. Now I wont look like some looser stalking my brothers!!" nick said. He was Demis only friend, and demi was his only friend. Nick was wearing black slacks and a pink button up shirt with a white tie. Demi never could see why he wasnt popular like his brothers.

"come on. This night is supposed to change our lives being the only nerds in school. Stalk to the left!!!" demi said, giggling. nick gave her a strange look, somewhat warm yet somewhat cold.

nicks POV- what is she talking about? our world is perfect with just us. why cant she see that? i need to tell her...
*back to narrator*

Nick and demi jittered over to the crowd, shoving their way into the middle.
"I cant believe were doing this! nick lets get out of here ....this is really uncomfortable for me!"

"okay demi. I understand. Im just gonna say hi to my brothers for a sec. ill be right there."

A couple of girls were between him and joe, but he managed to pass them in time to get to.. Kevin.

"where did joe go?"
"I dont know.. I saw him a second ago. I think he went over there." Kevin pointed to the extreme corner of the room where demi was before. demi was there, staring at her purse yet again.

"OH boy. Here comes another popular guy. Hes even worse than joe and Kevin and the rest of them...." muttered demi.

It was cody linley, half baked and one hundred percent drunk. He stumbled over to demi as she backed up into the corner, afraid.

"hey baby, whats your name? ive never seen you before!! haha!! LETS DANCE! Oh no wait I just..." he fell on the floor, but picked himself up clumsily.
Demi tried to get out of the corner, but cody blocker her from moving and started to grind her.
*joes pov*
who is that... *looking at demi*.... is that nicks friend??
*sees cody and nick going after him and doesnt know what to do....*

"GET OFF OF HER!!!" Demi heard two voices say simultaneously, seeing two familiar faces rush out of the crowd.
